Composition
Susp: Per 5 ml: Aluminium hydroxide 215 mg, magnesium hydroxide 80 mg, Simeticone 25 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Peptic ulcer, belching, hiatus hernia, gastritis, dyspepsia, gastric hyperacidity and flatulence and heartburn: Adults: 1 or 2 tsp. Children above 6 yrs: 1 tsp to be taken one and three hr after meals and at bedtime
Precautions
Renal dysfunction, patients on low phosphate diet, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach, prolong use.
Interactions
May alter absorption of tetracyclines,INH, warfarin Fe salts, H2-receptor antagonists,quinidine.
Side Effects
Vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, intestinal obstruction.
