Composition
Cap: Dutasteride 0.5 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH): Adults (male): 500 mcg daily, review treatment at 3-6 months and then every 6-12 months (may require several months treatment before benefit is obtained). Children: Not recommended.
Contraindications
Severe hepatic impairment, women, children, adolescents.
Precautions
Mild to moderate hepatic impairment. Avoid donating blood until minimum 6 months after last dose.
Interactions
Verapamil, diltiazem
Pregnancy
Contraindicated in pregnancy.
Lactation
Contraindicated, avoid
Side Effects
Impotence, decreased libido, ejaculation disorders, gynaecomastia, breast tenderness and enlargement
