Composition
Nasal Spray: Azelastine hydrochloride 0.1%, metered pump nasal spray.
Indications & Dosage
Perennial, seasonal allergic rhinitis: Adults: One spray per nostril twice daily. Children: Not Recommended.
Precautions
: Avoid in pulmonary tuberculosis, avoid after nasal surgery (until healed), avoid in the presence of untreated nasal infections (treat infection first), patients transferred from systemic corticosteroids may experience exacerbation of some symptoms, caution in conditions of stress, trauma, surgery, infection, pregnancy and lactation. Monitor patients for signs of adrenal insufficiency, monitor growth in adolescents in prolong therapy
Side Effects
Aggression and anxiety (in children), headache, dryness, epistaxis, hypersensitivity reactions, nasal and throat irritation, nasal ulceration, sleep disturbances, smell disturbances, taste disturbances. Rare: Bronchospasm, anaphylaxis
