Composition
Tab 10 mg/20 mg: Bambuterol HCI 10 mg/20 mg. Syp/Soln: Per 5 ml Bambuterol HCI 5 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Asthma, conditions associated with reversible airways obstruction: Adult (patients who have previously tolerated beta2-agonists): 20 mg once daily, dose to be taken at bedtime; Adult: (patients who have not previously tolerated beta2-agonists): Initially 10 mg once daily for 1-2 weeks, then increased if necessary to 20 mg once daily, dose to betaken at bedtime.
Contraindications
Severe hepatic impairment.
Precautions
Renal impairment; reduce dose, cardiovascular disorder, diabetes, myocardial insufficiency, thyrotoxicosis. Monitor serum potassium levels in severe asthma.
Interactions
Suxamethonium, beta blockers.
