Composition

Cap30mg/60mg: Dexlansoprazole Dual Delayed Release (Enteric coated pellets) equiv to Dexlansoprazole 30mg/60 mg

Indications & Dosage

Erosive esophagitis: Adult: Tab 60 mg once daily for up to 8 weeks; maintenance and relief of heartburn; 30 mg once daily for up to 6 months. Symptomatic non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Adult: Tab 30 mg once daily for 4 a week

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, malignancy, severe hepatic impairment.

Precautions

Hepatic impairment, allergies, pregnancy, elderly, severe renal impairment.

Interactions

Dexlansoprazole is metabolized in part, by CYP2C19 and CYP3A4. Reports of increased INR and prothrombin time in patients receiving PPIs and warfarin concomitantly

Pregnancy

Use only if clearly needed.

Lactation

Caution advised, avoid

Side Effects

Diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, upper respiratory tract infection, vomiting, flatulence, hot flashes, contusion, oropharyngael pain, weight loss. Rare: Liver disorders, anaphylaxis and hypersensitivity reaction such as epidermal necrolysis, and pruritus.
