Composition
Tab 60 mg: Daclatasvir (as dihydrochloride) 60 mg
Indications & Dosage
In combination with other antiviral drugs for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection of genotypes 1, 3 or 4, with or without compensated cirrhosis: Adult: 60 mg once daily for up to 24 weeks.
Precautions
Hepatitis B virus co-infection; screen patients for hepatitis B before starting treatment, patients infected with both hepatitis B and C viruses must be monitored and managed accordingly. Child-Pugh C liver disease, decompensated liver disease, human immunodeficiency virus co-infection, organ transplant patients, treatment with direct-acting antivirals may affect the efficacy of vitamin K antagonists; INR should be monitored closely in patients receiving concomitant treatment.
Interactions
NNRTI, dabigarton, digoxin, oral contraceptives, statins, amiodarone. Strong or moderate CYP3A4 or P-gp inducers (e.g. phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital, rifampicin, systematic dexamethasone, St. Johns Wort) or strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. boceprevir, telaprevir, atazanavir, cobicistat, macrolides, azole antifungals, calcium channel blockers)
