Composition
Plus Tab: Ferrous fumarate 200 mg, folic acid 0.5 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Prophylaxis & treatment of iron deficiency anaemia: Adults: 1 tab daily before meals. Children: Not recommended.
Contraindications
Peptic ulcer, regional enteritis, ulcerative colitis, Vit B 12 deficiency, paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria, haemosiderosis, haemochromatosis, repeated blood transfusion.
Precautions
1st trimester, history of peptic ulcer, folate dependent tumours.
Interactions
Tetracyclines, antacids, cotrimoxazole, anticonvulsants, penicillamine, chloramphenicol, sulphasalazine, cholestyramine.
Side Effects
GI upset, allergic reactions.
