Composition

Tab 25 mg: Cinnarizine 25 mg. Cap 75 mg: Cinnarizine 75 mg.

Indications & Dosage

Relief of symptoms of vestibular disorders, such as vertigo, tinnitus, nausea, and vomiting in Menieres disease: Adult: 30 mg 3 times a day Children 5-11 yrs: 15 mg 3 times a day; 12-17 yrs: 30 mg 3 times a day. Motion sickness: Adult: Initially 30 mg, 2 hours before travel, then 15 mg every 8 hours if required, dose to betaken during journey Children 5-11 yrs: Initially 15 mg, 2 hours before travel, then 7.5 mg every 8 hours ifrequired, dose to be taken during journey; 12-17 yrs: Initially 30 mg, 2 hours before travel, then 15 mg every 8 hours ifrequired, dose to be taken during journey. Cerebral circulatory disorder: Adult: 25 mg every 8 hourly. Peripheral circulatory disorder: Adult: 50-75 mg every 8 hourly.

Contraindications

Porphyria.

Parkinsons disease, hypotension, epilepsy, glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, pyloroduodenal obstruction, susceptibility to angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention

Side Effects

Drowsiness, anaphylaxis, blood disorders, bronchospasm, confusion, convulsions, depression, dizziness, extrapyramidal effects, hypersensitivity reactions, hypotension, lichenplanus, paradoxical stimulation, photosensitivity reactions, rashes, sleep disturbances, sweating, tremor, weight gain. Rare: Angioedema,angle-closure glaucoma, arrhythmias,liver dysfunction, lupus-like skin reactions, palpitation, paradoxical stimulation
