Composition
Gel: Metronidazole 0.75% w/w. Cream: Metronidazole 1% w/w.
Indications & Dosage
Acute inflammatory exacerbation of rosacea: Adult: Apply twice daily for 8 weeks, to be applied thinly. Malodorous fungating tumours and malodorous gravitational and decubitus ulcers: Adult: Apply 1-2 times a day, to be applied to cleanwound and covered with non-adherent dressing. Inflammatory papules, pustules and erythema of rosacea: Adult: Apply twice daily for 6 weeks to 3 months.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, pregnancy and lactation
Precautions
Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Side Effects
Local irritation, pruritus, transient redness, metallic taste, tingling or numbness of extremities, nausea.
