Tab10/160 mg: Atorvastatin (as calcium salt) 10 mg and Fenofibrate 160 mg
Indications & Dosage
Adjunct to diet and exercise in mixed hyperlipidaemia, Hypercholestrolaemia adjucnt to diet and other appropriate measures: Adult: one tab daily
Contraindications
Active liver disease, hepatic impairment, severe renal dysfunction, unexplained persistent liver function abnormality, unexplained persistent raised serum transaminases exceeding 3 times the normal limits, preexisting gallbladder disease.
Precautions
Uncomplicated myalgia, history of liver disease, renal impairment, Discontinue in case of acute condition suggesting myopathy, risk factors to development of renal failure, presence of gallbladder stone.
Interactions
Cyclosporin, azole antifungals, niacin, propranolol,oral anticoagulants, oral contraceptives, antacids, erythromycin, colestipol, digoxin.
Pregnancy
Contraindicated in pregnancy.
Lactation
Not recommended.
Side Effects
Abdominal pain, abnormal LFT, constipation, dyspepsia, flatulence, gastritis, back, leg and joints pain, burning feet, body ache, numbness in leg, rhinitis, headache, nausea, myalgia, asthenia, diarrhoea, insomnia. Rare: Sexual asthenia, muscle toxicity (discontinue), hepatitis, alopecia, photosensitivity
