Composition
Liqd: Sodium iron edetate (equiv to 55 mg Fe per 10 ml).
Indications & Dosage
Prophylaxis of iron deficiency anaemia: Adults: Initially 5 ml three times daily increases gradually to 10 ml three times daily. Children: up to 1 yr, 2.5 ml twice daily: 1-6 yr, 2.5 ml three times daily: 6-12 yr, 5 ml three times daily.
Interactions
Tetracyclines.
