Composition

Indications & Dosage

Peptic ulcer, belching, hiatus hernia, gastritis, dyspepsia, gastric hyperacidity and flatulence and heartburn: Adults: 1-2 tsp after meals and at bed time.

Precautions

Renal impairment, patients on low phosphate diet, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach.

Interactions

May alter absorption of tetracyclines, Fe salts, H2-receptor antagonists, INH, warfarin, quinidine.

Side Effects

Vomiting, nausea, Diarrhoea, constipation, intestinal obstruction (large dose).
