Composition
Inj: Influenza virus A/Sydney/5/97(H3N2)-like strain, A/Beijing/262/95(H1N1)-like strain, B/Beijing/184/93- like strain, 15 mcg/0.5 ml suspension in pre-filled syringe
Indications & Dosage
Prevention of influenza caused by influenza virustypes A and type B: BY IM INJ OR SC INJ: Adults:0.5 ml one dose; Children 6 months-3 yr: 0.25 ml or 0.5 ml; over 3 yr, 0.5 ml. If child is not vaccinated give second dose after minimum 4 weeks.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to poultry proteins (eggs, feathers), acute febrile illness.
Precautions
Pregnancy. Do not add other vaccines to the same syringe.
Side Effects
Local reactions; fever, malaise, rarely neurological disturbances.
