Indications & Dosage
Blood/plasma loss, dehydration, hypovolaemic shock, volume losses during and after surgery, extracorporeal circulation, haemodialysis, for use in heart- lung-machines, perfusion of isolated organs, plasma exchange, intraoperative hemodilution, Carrier for low dose insulin INF: As per doctors advice: 500 ml to be infused in one hr. In emergency cases where immediate volume replacement is needed, Haemaccel can be infused rapidly. See literature.
Contraindications
In presence of relative contra-indications (e.g. cardiac insufficiency, fixed hypertension, cardiogenic shock) infusion should be performed under proper supervision.
Side Effects
Transitory urticaria, skin reactions, wheals, temporary hypotension, raised temperature and shivering may occur.
