Composition
Cream per gram: Halobetasol Propionate 0.5 mg (0.05% w/w), Oint. per gram: Halobetasol Propionate 0.5 mg (0.05% w/w), Lotion per ml: Halobetasol Propionate 0.5 mg (0.05% w/w)
Indications & Dosage
Inflammatory and pruritic manifestations dermatoses: Adults & Children above 12 yrs: Apply sparingly one to two times daily. Total dosage should not exceed more than 50 gm/week. Treatment for more than two consecutive weeks is not recommended.

Hypersensitivity to the drug
Precautions
Avoid prolonged use, keep away from eyes, use under specialist supervision. There is potential for the drug to suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis periodical evaluation is required. Signs and symptoms of glucocorticosteriod insufficiency may occur requiring supplemental systemic corticosteroids. Do not use steroid as sole therapy in psoriasis. Do not use steroids to treat diaper dermatoses in infants. If local irritation develops discontinue use.
Side Effects
Burning, itching, irritation, erythema, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, pruritus, acneiform eruptions, hypo-pigmentation, peri-oral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, maceration of the skin, thinning of the skin (the original structure may never return),worsening of acne and rosacea, skin atrophy, striae, miliaria, telangiectasia, urticaria, HPA suppression, Cushing̢��‰�s syndrome
