Composition
Inj: 75 IU/150 IU/500 IU/1000 IU/1500 IU/5000 IU: Chorionic gonadotrophins 75 IU/150 IU/500 IU/1000 IU/1500 IU/5000 IU; powder and solvent in separate amp.
Indications & Dosage
Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism: BY IM INJ: Adults (male): 1000-2000 IU 2-3 times per week, if the main complaint is sterility (deficient spermatogenesis) in combination with menotrophin. Once desired spermatogenesis achieved, the improvement in spermatogenesis may in some cases be maintained by HCG alone. BY IM INJ: Children (male) 1 month-18 yrs: 1000-2000 IU twice weekly, adjusted to response. Delayed puberty associated with insufficient gonadotrophic pituitary function: BY IM INJ: Adults (male):1500 IU 2-3 times a week for at least 6 months. Ovulation induction due to anovulation or im-paired follicle-ripening: BY IM INJ: Adults (female): One inj of 5000-1000 IU to complete treatment with a menotrophin preparation. Ovulation induction in controlled hyper-stimulation regimens to prepare the follicles for function: BY IM INJ: Adults (female): Up to three repeat injections of up to 5000 IU may be given within the following 9 days to prevent insufficiency of the corpus luteum. Prepubertal cryptorchidism: BY IM INJ: Children: 4000 IU3 times/wk or 5000 IU every sec day for 4 injections or 500 IU 3 times/wk for 4-6 wk or 15 injections of 500-1000 IU given over 6 week.
Administration
IM administration only.
Stability
Following reconstitution with the provided diluent, solutions are stable for 30-90 days, depending on the specific preparation, when stored at 2 degree C to 15 degree C.

Androgen-dependent tumours
Precautions
Asthma, cardiac impairment, epilepsy, renal impairment, migraine, prepubertal boys (risk of premature epiphyseal closure or precocious puberty).Monitor hormone levels in anovulatory infertility.
Side Effects
Gynaecomastia, headache, local reactions, may aggravate ovarian hyperstimulation, mood changes, multiple pregnancy, oedema (particularly in males; reduce dose), tiredness and sensitivity reactions.
