Composition
Tab 1 mg/2 mg/5 mg: Terazosin (as HCI) 1 mg/2 mg/5 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Mild to moderate hypertension: Adult: 1 mg daily for 7 days, then increased if necessary to 2 mg daily, to be taken at bedtime; maintenance 2-10 mg once daily, doses above 20 mg rarely improve efficacy. Benign prostatic hyperplasia: Adult: Initially 1 mg daily, dose should be taken at bedtime, if necessary dose may be doubled at intervals of 1-2 weeks according to response; maintenance 5-10 mg daily; max. 10 mg per day Children: Not recommended.
Precautions
History of syncope. Avoid rapid increase in dose.
Interactions
Beta-blockers, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, NSAIDs, pressor agents (norepinephrine).
Pregnancy
Use only when potential benefit outweighs risk.

Angioedema, asthenia, back pain, blurred vision, decreased libido, depression, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, dyspnea, erectile disorders, GI disturbances, headache, hypersensitivity reactions, hypotension, intra-operative floppy iris syndrome, nervousness, oedema, pain in extremities, palpitations, paraesthesia, postural hypotension, priapism, pruritus, rash, rhinitis, syncope, tachycardia thrombocytopenia, weight gain
