Inj: Per single dose: 10 mcg of purified capsular polysaccharide covalently bound to approximately 30 mcg tetanus toxoid; lyophilised vaccine for reconstitution in diluent (saline) provided.
Indications & Dosage
Immunization against disease caused by HIB, in infants: BY IM INJ: Children in the first 2-6 months: 3 doses at interval of 1-2 month apart; booster dose at 2 years age.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to poultry proteins (eggs, feathers), acute febrile illness.
Side Effects
Fever, malaise, local reactions, rarely neurological disturbances.
