Composition
Emulsion: Mixture of magnesium hydroxide 75% v/v, liquid paraffin 25% v/v.
Indications & Dosage
Constipation: Adult: 10-30 ml daily if required, to be administered at night. Children: Not recommended.
Precautions
Avoid prolonged use.
Side Effects
Granulomatous reactions, anal seepage and irritation, altered absorption of fat soluble vitamins, rarely lipid pneumonia.
