Composition

Eye Drop 0.25%/0.5%/1%: Levobunolol HCI 0.25%/0.5%/1%.

Indications & Dosage

Raised intra-ocular pressure in chronic open-angle glaucoma & ocular hypertension: Adults: (0.5%) drops once daily. (0.25%) drops twice daily. Severe or uncontrolled: (0.5%) 1-2 drops twice daily.

Contraindications

Severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchospasm, including bronchial asthma, and uncontrolled congestive heart failure, hypersensitivity to any of the contents.

Precautions

Hepatic impairment, history of renal calculi, chronic corneal defects, history of intraocular surgery, low endothelial cell count, systemic absorption follows topical application

Interactions

Reserpine, systemic beta-blockers.

Side Effects

Ocular irritation, bitter taste, blurred vision, conjunctivitis, eyelid inflammation, darkening of mixed coloured irides; inform patient, darker, longer or thicker lashes, conjunctival hyperaemia, headache, dizziness, systemic beta- blocking effects.
