Composition
Dragees: Clidinium bromide 2.5 mg, chlordiaze poxide 5 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Gastrointestinal manifestations of anxiety and tension: Adults: 3-4 dragees daily before meals and bedtime. Elderly and frail patients, initially 1-2 dragees daily, increased gradually to the most effective well-tolerated dose. Children: Not recommended.
Contraindications
Myasthenia gravis (but may be used to decrease muscarinic side-effects of anticholinesterases), paralytic ileus, pyloric stenosis, toxic megacolon, and prostatic enlargement.
Precautions
Downs syndrome, elderly, gastro-esophageal reflux disease, diarrhoea, ulcerative colitis, autonomic neuropathy, pyrexia,angle-closure glaucoma, acute myocardial infarction, hypertension, tachycardia including, hyperthyroidism, cardiac insufficiency, and cardiac surgery.
Interactions
Amantadine, digoxin, atenolol, phenothiazines, tricyclic antidepressants.

Side Effects
Constipation, transient bradycardia, tachycardia, palpitation and arrhythmias, reduced bronchial secretions, urinary urgency and retention, dilatation of the pupils with loss of accommodation, photo-phobia, dry mouth, flushing and dryness of the skin, vomiting nausea, and giddiness. Very rarely, angle-closure glaucoma may occur.
