Indications & Dosage
Type 2 diabetes mellitus as monotherapy, or in combination with metformin, and/or a sulfonylurea (when dual therapy with these drugs fails to achieve adequate glycaemic control). Type 2 diabetes mellitus in combination with insulin (with or without metformin) when insulin has not provided adequate glycaemic control: Adult: 5 mg once daily. Reduced dose in case of concomitant sulfonylurea or insulin.

Potent CYP3A4 and P-gp inducer

Contraindicated in pregnancy
Lactation
Contraindicated or not recommended
Side Effects
Cough, nasopharyngitis, Pancreatitis Discontinue if symptoms of acute pancreatitis (persistent, severe abdominal pain)
