Composition
Cap: Lopinavir 133.3 mg, ritonavir 33.3 mg.
Indications & Dosage
HIV-1 infection in combination with other antiretroviral drugs: Adults: 2 or 3 cap twice daily to be taken with food. Children above 2 yr: 230/57.5 mg/m2 twice daily with food Max 400/100 mg twice daily.

Severe hepatic impairment
Precautions
Renal or hepatic impairment, hepatitis B or C, haemophilia, lipid disorders, pancreatitis, diabetes, cardiac conduction disorders, patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease (especially if10-year cardiovascular risk greater than 20%), structural heart disease, haemophilia (increased risk of bleeding). Monitor serum lipids and blood glucose.Monitor liver function before and during treatment.
Interactions
Substrates of CYP3A4 or CYP2D6 including as-temizole, terfenadine, midazolam, triazolam, cisapride, amiodarone, ergot alkaloids, flecainide, St. Johns Wort, rifampicin, sildenafil, statins, drugs inducing QT prolongation, oestrogen-based contraceptives, other antiretrovirals, macrolides, warfarin, antiarrhythmics, anticonvulsants, class II calcium antagonists, dexamethasone, cyclosporin, tacrolimus, ketoconazole, itraconazole, methadone.
Pregnancy
Avoid, use only when no safer alternative exists for a serious problem.
Lactation

Amenorrhoea, anxiety, arthralgia, colitis, hypertension, menorrhagia, neuropathy, night sweats, sexual dysfunction, weight changes, abnormal dreams, alopecia, AV block, cerebrovascular accident, convulsions, deep veinthrombosis, dry mouth, GI ulcer, haematuria, myocardial infarction, nephritis, rectalbleeding, stomatitis, tinnitus, tremor, visual disturbances
