Composition
Susp: Per 5 ml: Magaldrate 540 mg, simeticone 20 mg per 5 ml.
Indications & Dosage
Hyperacidity and flatulence associated with peptic ulcer, gastric hyperacidity, hiatal hernia: Adults: 1-2 tsp after meals and at bedtime. Children: below 6 yr, not recommended; above 6 yr, half adult dose.
Precautions
Renal impairment, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach.
Interactions
Tetracycline, Fe salts, warfarin.
Side Effects
Constipation, Diarrhoea.
