Composition
Inj: Each 0.5 ml; 200 mcg of purified polysaccharide from N. meningitis (50 mcg of group A, 50 mcg of group C, 50 mcg of group Y 50 mcg of group W135); and diluent.
Indications & Dosage
Active immunization against Types A, & C meningococci: BY SC INJ: Adult & Children above 2 month: 0.5 ml single dose, preferably injected into deltoid region.
Precautions
Pregnancy, lactation.
Interactions
Immuno-suppressants.
Side Effects
Low grade fever, pain at inj site, Rare: Kawasaki disease (in children), unusual crying (in children)
