Composition

Susp: Per 10 ml: Activated attapulgite 1000 mg. Tab 500 mg/750 mg: Activated attapulgite 500 mg/750 mg. Powder: Attapulgite; sachet.

Indications & Dosage

Diarrhoea: Susp: Adult & Children above 12 yrs: 10 ml after initial bowel movement, 10 ml after each subsequent bowel movement. Children 6-12 yr: 5 ml after initial bowel movement, 5 ml after subsequent bowel movements, should not be used for more than 2 days. Tab/Powder: Adult & Children above 12 yrs: 2 tab or 1 sachet after initial bowel movement, 2 tab after each subsequent bowel movements. Children 6-12 yr:1 tab after initial bowel movement, 1 tab after subsequent bowel movements, should not be used for more than 2 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, febrile illness, elderly, high fever and blood in stool.

Precautions

Heart disease, bowel disease, allergies.

Pregnancy

classified as pregnancy category B, to be used with caution.

Lactation

Caution advised.
