Indications & Dosage
Hairy cell leukaemia: BY SC INJ: Adult: 0.14/kg body weight every day at the same hour for 5 days (consult product literature or local protocols). B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukaemia: BY IV INF: Adult: (consult product literature or local protocols) Highly active relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis: ORAL: Adult: (consult product literature or local protocols)
Contraindications
Active chronic hepatitis, active chronic tuberculosis, active malignancy, HIV infection, immuno-compromised patients.
Precautions
Acute infection, use irradiated blood only to prevent potentially fatal transfusion-related graft-versus-host reaction, risk of high tumour burden, symptomatic or severe bone marrow depression, prior malignancy, Immunosuppressive effect, risk of serious bacterial, opportunistic fungal, and viral infections, Acute infections should be treated before initiating treatment, administer Varicella zoster virus vaccination prior to initiation of therapy if no prior exposure to varicella zoster virus of the patient, delay treatment for 4-6 weeks after vaccination. Use effective contraception during treatment and for at least 6 months after the last dose in men and women of childbearing potential, exclude pregnancy before each treatment course. Caution in hepatic and renal impairment.

Anaemia, anxiety, arrhythmias, arthritis, asthenia, confusion, conjunctivitis, dizziness, dyspnoea, febrile neutropenia, fever, GI disorders, haemolytic anaemia, hyperhidrosis, insomnia, joint disorders, malaise, muscle weakness, myalgia, myocardial ischaemia, neoplasms, Oedema, pain, renal impairment, respiratory disorders, secondary malignancy, septic shock, thrombocytopenia, alopecia, lymphopenia, bone marrow disorders, hypereosinophilia, nerve disorders, neurotoxicity, paralysis, paraparesis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, tumour lysis syndrome, liver injury, ataxia, cachexia, confusion, drowsiness, eye inflammation, haemolytic anaemia, paraesthesia, polyneuropathy. Rare: Heart failure, amyloidosis, cholecystitis, depression, dysphagia, epilepsy, graft versus host disease, hepatic failure, pulmonary embolism, renal failure, severe cutaneous adverse reactions (SCARs), speech disorder.
