Composition

Inj: Intraocular: Carbachol 0.01%; soln.

Indications & Dosage

To reduce intraocular pressure in the treatment of glaucoma, Miosis induction: BY INTRAOCULAR INJ: 0.5 ml instilled into anterior chamber before or after securing sutures.

Administration

For single-dose intraocular use only, open under aseptic conditions only. Discard unused portion.

ocular inflammation, iritis, corneal abrasion

Precautions

Cerebral or coronary insufficiency, renal or hepatic impairment. Raynauds syndrome, orthostatic hypotension, severe cardiovascular disease; monitor cardiac function, hyperthyroidism, unstable angina, severe peripheral or central circulatory disorders, hypotension, diabetes, metabolic acidosis, pheochromocytoma, depression, thromboangiitis obliterans

Not recommended.

Side Effects

Headache, burning sensation, stinging, depression, conjunctival hyperaemia, conjunctival folliculosis, pruritus, oedema, allergy, blepharitis; discontinue if occur, somnolence, hypertension, dry mouth, asthenia, abnormal LFTs.
