Composition
Syp: Per 5 ml: Procaterol HCI 25 mcg. Tab: Procaterol HCI 50 mcg.
Indications & Dosage
Airway obstruction in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis and pulmonary emphysema: Adults: 1 tab or 10 ml twice daily. Children Up to 1 yr (4-10 kg): 1.25-2.5 ml twice daily; 2-5 yr (11-19 kg): 2.5-5 ml twice daily; 6-12 yr (20-40 kg): 5 ml or half tab twice daily; above 12 yr (above 40 kg): 5-10 ml or half to one tabtwice daily.
Precautions
Myocardial insufficiency, angina, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension,hyperthyroidism, young children

Sympathomimetics.

Side Effects
GI distress, tremor, feeling of tension, headache, tachycardia, peripheral vasodilation
