Indications & Dosage

Vitamin B6 deficiency: ORAL: Adults: 20-50 mg 3 times daily for 3 weeks. BY IM OR IV INJ: Adult: 10-20 mg daily for 3 weeks. Isoniazid or penicillamine or hydralazine or cycloserine induced neuropathy: ORAL: Adults: 10-20mg daily increase up to 50 mg 3 times daily. BY IM OR IV INJ: Adult: 100 mg daily for 3 weeks followed by a 30 mg maintenance dose daily. Idiopathic sideroblastic anaemia: Adults: 100-400 mg daily in divided doses. Children: Not recommended.

Precautions

Dependence and withdrawal may occur with daily doses of 200 mg or more.

Levodopa, phenobarbital, phenytoin.

Side Effects
