Composition
Tab 400 mg/800 mg: Bacampicillin 400 mg/800 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Respiratory Tract infection, ENT infection, skin and soft tissue infections, UTI and gonorrhea, Paratyphoid fever: Adults: 400 mg twice daily, in severe infections 800 mg twice daily. Children: 25-50 mg/kg/day in two equal doses.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillins, cephalosporins or other beta-lactams.
Precautions
Infectious mononucleosis and/or acute leukaemia of lymphoid origin, hepatic and renal impairment.
Interactions
Anticoagulants, allopurinol, probenecid.
Pregnancy

Side Effects
Hypersensitivity reaction, GI disturbance, nausea and vomiting. Rarely hepatitis, cholestatic jaundice, haematological and CNS effects, pseudomembranous colitis, increased INR, Stevens-Johnsons syndrome, toxic epidermal necrosis.
