Tab 50 mg/100 mg/150 mg/ 300 mg: Roxithromycin 50 mg/100 mg/150 mg/ 300 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Susceptible infections of ENT, bronchopulmonary, genital (excluding gonococcal infections) and skin, Prophylaxis of meningococcal meningitis in vulnerable patients: Adults: 150 mg in the morning and evening 15-30 min before meals. Children: 6-11 kg: 25 mg in the morning & evening; 12-23 kg: 50 mg in the morning & evening; 24-40 kg: 100 mg in the morning & evening, doses to be taken 15-30 min before meals.
Precautions
Hepatic insufficiency.
Interactions
Ergot derivatives. Carbamazepine, theophylline, cyclosporin, warfarin.

Side Effects
Abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, Cholestatic jaundice, hepatotoxicity, rash, anorexia, arthralgia, disturbances in taste and vision, dizziness, dyspepsia, flatulence, headache, malaise, paraesthesia, anxiety, chest pain, constipation, gastritis, hypoaesthesia, leucopenia, oedema, photosensitivity, sleep disturbances, acute renal failure, convulsions, haemolytic anaemia, interstitial nephritis, syncope, thrombocytopenia, tongue discoloration. Rare: Agitation, antibiotic-associated colitis, arrhythmias, pancreatitis, QT interval prolongation, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis. With intravenous use; Local tenderness and phlebitis
