Composition
Tab: Sofosbuvir 400 mg.
Indications & Dosage
In combination with ribavirin (with or without peginterferon alfa) for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection of genotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, or 6 in patients with compensated liver disease, OR in combination with ribavirin for chronic hepatitis C infection of genotype 2 in patients with compensated liver disease OR in combination with daclatasvir for chronic hepatitis C infection of genotype 1, 3, or 4: Adults: 400 mg once daily with food. Continue for up to 24 week.
Contraindications
Severe renal impairment.
Precautions
Decompensated cirrhosis, patients awaiting liver transplantation. Co-infection with HBV.
Interactions
Telaprevir, boceprevir, other direct-acting HCV antivirals. Modafinil, potent P-gp inducers (e.g. rifamycins, carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital)

Agitation, alopecia, anaemia, anxiety, arthralgia, asthenia, blurred vision, chest pain, constipation, decreased appetite, depression, diarrhoea, dizziness, dry mouth, dyspnea, gastro-oesophageal reflux, abdominal discomfort, headache, influenza-like symptoms, insomnia, irritability, memory impairment, migraine, myalgia, nausea, neutropenia,rash, vomiting, weight loss
