Composition

Indications & Dosage

Hypertension in patients stabilised on the individual components in the same proportions: Adults: 1 tab daily using the strength as clinically appropriate. Children: Not recommended.

Contraindications

Hepatic or severe renal impairment, cardiogenic shock, acute MI, unstable angina.

Precautions

Salt or volume depletion, severe congestive heart failure, renal disease, renal artery stenosis, aortic or mitral valve stenosis, obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, primary aldosteronism. Mild to moderate renal impairment; monitor serum potassium in patients at risk of hyperkalaemia.

Interactions

Lithium, K-supplements, K+-sparing diuretics, salt substitutes, NSAIDs, CYP3A4 inducers and inhibitors, sildenafil.

Pregnancy

Contraindicated in pregnancy.

Lactation

Not recommended.

Side Effects

Arthritis, chest pain, cough, fatigue, GI disturbances, haematuria, hypertriglyceridaemia, hyperuricaemia, influenza-like symptoms, musculoskeletal pain, peripheral oedema, pharyngitis, rhinitis, urinary-tract infection. Rare: Angina, vertigo, headache, myalgia, pruritus, thrombocytopenia, urticaria
