Composition
Inj: Per 0.5 ml: Yellow fever virus at least 1000 mouse LD50 units; powder with diluent.
Indications & Dosage
Active immunization against yellow fever: BY SC INJ: Adults & Children above 9 months: 0.5 ml single dose.
Contraindications
Acute febrile illness, impaired immunity, symptomatic or asymptomatic HIV positive patients, hypersensitivity to eggs or chick protein, pregnancy.
Precautions
Acute infections.
Side Effects
Inj site reaction, headache, myalgia, low-grade fever. Rare: encephalitis, allergic reactions.
