Composition

Eye Drop 2%: Dorzolamide (HCI) 2%.

Indications & Dosage

Raised intra-ocular pressure in ocular hypertension, Open-angle glaucoma, Pseudo-exfoliative glaucoma (monotherapy): Adult: Apply 3 times a day. Raised intra-ocular pressure in ocular hypertension, Open-angle glaucoma, Pseudo-exfoliative glaucoma (as adjunct to beta-blocker): Adult: Apply twice daily.

Contraindications

Severe renal impairment or hyperchloraemic acidosis.

Precautions

Hepatic impairment, history of renal calculi, chronic corneal defects, history of intraocular surgery, low endothelial cell count, systemic absorption follows topical application

Interactions

Leave interval of 10 min, if using other ophthalmic preps.

Side Effects

Asthenia, ocular irritation, headache, bitter taste, blurred vision, conjunctivitis, eyelid inflammation, lacrimation, nausea, super ficialpunctate keratitis, iridocyclitis. Rare: Contact dermatitis, corneal oedema, dizziness, dry mouth, epistaxis, eyelid crusting
