Composition

Tab10/160/12.5 mg: Amlodipine 10 mg, valsartan 160 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Tab10/160/25 mg: Amlodipine 10 mg, valsartan 160 mg, hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg. Tab10/320/25 mg: Amlodipine

Indications & Dosage

Hypertension not adequately controlled by valsartan and amlodipine: Adults: 1 tab daily using the strength as clinically appropriate. Children: Not recommended.

Contraindications

Biliary cirrhosis or cholestasis.

Precautions

Patients with activated renin-angiotensin system that are receiving angiotensin receptor blockers, hepatic impairment or biliary obstructive disorders, aortic or mitral stenosis or obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, hyperkalaemia.

Interactions

K supplements, K-sparing diuretics, K-containing salt substitutes or other drugs that may increase K levels (heparin, etc.)

Pregnancy

Contraindicated in pregnancy.

Lactation

Not recommended.

Side Effects

Renal impairment, cough, fatigue, GI disturbance, headache, syncope, hypersensitivity reactions, myalgia, neutropenia, pruritus, rash,serum sickness, thrombocytopenia, vasculitis, nasopharyngitis, flu, oedema (pitting, facial, peripheral), flushing, asthenia, hot flush.
