Composition
Inj: Absorbed diphtheria toxoid 30 IU, Absorbed tetanus toxoid 60 IU, pertussis toxoid (whole cell) 4 IU, recombinant HBs Ag protein 10 mcg; single dose of 0.5 ml in pre-filled syringe.
Indications & Dosage
Active primary immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis and hepatitis B in infants: BY IM INJ: 0.5ml injection: Primary course: 3 doses at 2, 4 and 6 months; Booster dose: at 18 months age.
Contraindications
Previous encephalopathy after pertussis vaccine; acute severe febrile illness.
Precautions
Previous reaction to DTP vaccine, family history of convulsions, SIDS, bleeding disorders, immunosuppression/deficiency
Side Effects
Loss of appetite, local pain, redness, swelling, restlessness, collapse, convulsions
