DEXAMETHASONE AND TOBRAMYCIN, EYE · by VEGA
Composition
Eye Drop/Oint: Dexamethasone 0.1%, tobramycin 0.3%.
Indications & Dosage
Infected inflammatory conditions: Adults & Children: 1 or 2 drops four to six hourly, apply a small amount ointment (approx 1/2 inch ribbon) into the conjunctival sac up to three or four times daily.
Contraindications
Viral, fungal, tuberculous or purulent infections of the eye, soft contact lenses.
Precautions
Prolonged use in pregnancy or infants, glaucoma.
Side Effects
Rise in intra-ocular pressure, corneal thinning, cataract, fungal infection.
