Composition
Tab 5 mg/10 mg: Solifenacin succinate 5 mg/10 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Urinary frequency, Urinary urgency, Urinary incontinence: Adults: 5 mg once daily. Increase to 10 mg once daily if necessary.
Contraindications
Urinary retention, severe GI conditions, toxic megacolon, myasthenia gravis, narrow-angle glaucoma, haemodialysis, severe hepatic impairment.
Precautions
Bladder outflow obstruction at risk of urinary retention, GI obstruction, risk of oesophagitis, reduced GI motility, severe renal or moderate hepatic impairment, autonomic neuropathy, hiatus hernia, oesophageal reflux, neurogenic bladder disorder, susceptibility to QT-interval prolongation
Interactions
Inhibitors, inducers or substrates of CYP3A4, cholinergic agonists, anticholinergics, GI motility stimulants.
Pregnancy
Avoid, use only when potential benefit outweighs risk.
Lactation
Caution advised, avoid
Side Effects
Gastro-oesophageal reflux, oedema, dysphonia, hepatic impairment, hyperkalaemia, muscle weakness, reduced appetite, torsade de pointes, dry mouth, GI upset, blurred vision.
