Composition
Elixir/Syp: Per 5Piperazine citrate equiv to 750 mg piperazine hydrate.
Indications & Dosage
Threadworm: Adult & Children above 40 kg: 15 ml once daily for 7 days; 17-40 kg: 10 ml, once daily for 7 days;13-16 kg: 5 ml, once daily for 7 days; less than 13 kg: 50-75 mg, once daily for 7 days. Roundworms: To be taken as a single dose. Adult & Children above 34 kg: 30 ml; 21-33 kg: 15 ml; 13-16 kg: 10 ml; less than 13 kg: 120 mg piperazine hydrate/kg body wt.
Contraindications
Intestinal obstruction, bowel disease, dehydration, undiagnosed abdominal pain, epilepsy
