Composition
Inj 500 mg: Ceforanide 500
Indications & Dosage
Infection of respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin & soft tissue, bone & joint, soft tissue and skin: BY IV OR IM INJ: Adults: 1-2 gm every 12 hr. For surgical prophylaxis: Adults: 1-2 gm one hour before surgery. Children: 20 mg/kg daily in two divided doses.
Administration
IM Inj to be administered at 250mg/ml concerntration. IV Inj to be administered direct push over 3-5 min at 49 mg/ml concerntration. IV Inf to be administered (continuous or intermittent) over 30 min.

Severe Renal failure

Decreased haemoglobin, diarrhoea, decreased neutrophils, , haematocrit, eosinophilia, increased transaminases, rash
