Composition
Syp: Per 5 ml: Domperidone maleate equiv to 5 mg domperidone, cinnarizine 10 mg Tab: Domperidone maleate 19.10 mg equiv to 15 mg domperidone, cinnarizine 20 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Nausea, vomiting, vertigo, epigastria, sense of fullness, upper abdominal distention, regurgitation, and Gastro-intestinal pain: Adult: 10-20 mg 3 times a day, before meals.max 80 mg daily. Re-evaluate need for continued treatment after 4 weeks. Children: Not recommended. Children: Not recommended.
Contraindications
Cardiac disease, when administered concomitantly with drugs that prolong the QT interval or potent CYP3A4 inhibitors, Hepatic impairment, Prolactinoma, GI haemorrhage, mechanical perforation or obstruction.
Precautions
Patientsover 60 years, increased risk of ventricular arrhythmia, renal impairment.
Interactions
Erythromycin, Ketoconazole, ritonavir.

Side Effects
Drowsiness, dry mouth, malaise, anxiety, diarrhoea, galactorrhoea, headache, pruritus, rash, agitation, amenorrhoea, convulsions, extra-pyramidal disorders, gynaecomastia, nervousness, oculogyric crisis, QT-interval prolongation, sudden cardiac death, urinary retention, ventricular arrhythmias, GI upset, raised serum prolactin.
