Composition
Susp: Aluminium phosphate equiv to aluminium orthophosphate 4.5% w/w
Indications & Dosage
Peptic ulcer, hiatus hernia, gastritis, dyspepsia, gastric hy-peracidity and flatulence: Adults: 1 or 2 tsp. Children above 6 yrs: 1 tsp to be taken one and three hr after meals and at bedtime
Precautions
Renal dysfunction, patients on low phosphate diet, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach, prolong use.
Interactions
May alter absorption of tetracyclines, Fe salts, H2-receptor antagonists, INH, warfarin, quinidine.
Side Effects
Vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, intestinal obstruction
