Composition
Susp: Aluminium phosphate equiv to aluminium orthophosphate 4.5% w/w, Simeticone LISP 25 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Heartburn, hiatus hernia, reflux oesophagitis, dyspepsia due to reflux: Adults: 10-20 ml after meals and at night. Children: Half adult dose.
Precautions
Renal impairment, patients on low phosphate diet, hepatic impairment. Antacids may damage enteric coatings designed to prevent dissolution in the stomach.
Interactions
May alter absorption of tetracyclines, INH, warfarin Fe salts, H2-receptor antagonists, quinidine.
Side Effects
Vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, intestinal obstruction.
