Composition
Plus Inj per 1.5 ml amp: Iron sorbitol citric add complex BP equiv to 75 mg iron, hydroxocobalamin acetate 75 mcg as vit. B12, folic acid 750 mcg
Indications & Dosage
Prophylaxis & treatment of iron deficiency anaemia: Adults: 1.5 mg/kg IM as single daily dose: max 100 mg per inj. Children: below 3 kg, not recommended: above3 kg, same as adult.
Contraindications
Haemolytic anaemia, acute leukaemia, serious liver or kidney desease, ineffective in aplastic or hypoplastic anaemia
Side Effects
Cardiac arrhythmias, anaphylaxis, vent. Fibrillation, tachycardia, AV block (discontinue), headache, fever, urticaria, arthralgia, nausea, vomiting, bronchospasm.
