Composition
Per 100 ml: Calcium chloride 2H20 0.022 gm, potassium chloride 0.15 gm, sodium chloride 0.216 gm, sodium acetate 3H20 0.313 gm, dextrose anhydrous 5 gm; water for injection.
Indications & Dosage
Hyponatraemic and hypokalaemic dehydration due to severe diarrhoea, water and electrolytes insufficiency due to various conditions: Adults: 500-1000 ml at the rate of 300-500 ml/hr(about 75-125 drops per min. Children: 50-1000 ml per hr (about 12-25 drops per min).
