Cap 100 mg: Disopyramide 100 mg
Indications & Dosage
Prevention and treatment of ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias, including after myocardial infarction, Maintenance of sinus rhythm after cardioversion: Adult: 300–800 mg (Immediate-Release) daily in divided doses Adult: 250–375 mg (Modified-Release) every 12 hours
Contraindications
Bundle-branch block associated with first-degree AV block, pre-existing long QT syndrome, second- and third-degree AV block or bifascicular block (unless pacemaker fitted), severe heart failure (unless secondary to arrhythmia), severe sinus node dysfunction.
Precautions
Atrial flutter or atrial tachycardia with partial block, heart failure (avoid if severe), dose adjustment in hepatic impairment, avoid in Acute porphyrias, avoid in renal impairment, elderly, myasthenia gravis, prostatic enlargement, structural heart disease, susceptibility to angle-closure glaucoma.
