Composition

Inj: Per 0.5 ml: Absorbed diphtheria toxoid not less than 30 IU, tetanus toxoid not less than 40 IU, Absorbed pertussis toxoid 25 mcg, Absorbed filamentous haemagglutinin (FHA) 25 m

Indications & Dosage

Active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, Hepatitis B and Haemophilus influenzae type B: BY DEEP SC OR IM INJ: Children 2 month-4 yr: 3 separate injections each of 0.5 ml at interval of minimum of 4 weeks; not recommended above 4 years age.

Contraindications

Severe local or general reaction to a preceding dose, neurological disease, acute illness, history of convulsions, cerebral irritation or damage in the neonatal period.

Precautions

History of familial epilepsy. Children with history of severe local reaction to a preceding dose should be given DPT in one limb and Hib in another.

Side Effects

Fever, irritability, persistent crying, headache loss of appetite; malaise, somnolence, allergy, local pain, neurological effects.
