Composition
Tab: Potassium chloride 573 mg, bumetanide 0.5 mg.
Indications & Dosage
Oedema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic ascites and renal disease: Adults: 1-4 tab daily Children: Not recommended.
Contraindications
Anuria, comatose and precomatose states associated with liver cirrhosis, renal failure due to nephrotoxic or hepatotoxic drugs, severe hypokalaemia, severe hyponatraemia
Precautions
Prostatic hypertrophy or impaired micturition, renal or hepatic impairment, diabetes, gout.
Interactions
K+ -sparing diuretics, lithium, digitalis, anti-hy-pertensives, aminoglycosides.
Side Effects
Rash, cramps, GI discomfort, thrombocytopenia, gynaecomastia, breast pain, gynaecomastia, musculoskeletal pain. Discontinue if any symptoms of ulceration or obstruction of small bowel occur.Urinary retention can occur in prostatic hyperplasia
